Welcome Incoming Polaris Families!

The Polaris PTO would like to extend a warm welcome to families of incoming students for the 2024-25 year! We'll be sharing information over the coming months about events designed for new families, including summer playdates and grade-level socials. In the meantime, we encourage you to check out the many opportunities below for engaging with the Polaris community. And, if you're interested in getting involved with the PTO next year, please reach out to PolarisPTOchair@gmail.com!

PTO Meeting on Monday, May 6th!

We're excited to announce that Jessica Rogers, Polaris' much-loved art teacher, will be the featured speaker at our May 6th community-wide PTO meeting at 7 p.m. Ms. Rogers will share information about Polaris' approach to arts integration and answer questions on the various programming that's offered during weekly art class.

In addition, we will be electing new PTO board members for the 2024-25 school year and will be sharing information about:

  • Community events and summer playdates
  • Event planning and volunteer needs for the 2024-25 school year

You can join the Zoom call by clicking here.

Questions for the PTO?  Let us know if you have any questions or comments for the PTO by submitting them on this form, and we'll do our best to address them during Monday's call!

Auction Volunteers Needed

Please consider joining the 2024-25 Colorful Colorado Auction Committee to ensure we can throw an amazing event for Polaris' biggest fundraiser of the year! Click here to view committee descriptions and sign up for a team, or reach out to PolarisPTOAuction@gmail.com if you have any questions. New Polaris families are welcome and encouraged to join and get involved in this fun fall event!

May 6th-10th Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-10, and we use this as a time to celebrate all of our Polaris staff. To kickoff the week, let's decorate the school and show teachers and staff how much we love them! To help with decorating on May 6th, click here!

May 9th For the Love of the Arts Event

At Polaris, we are community of people who believe in the power of the arts and we value arts education for our students. On May 9th, we'll come together to celebrate our students' creative displays of learning, and we need some volunteers to help with an outdoor art activity. Sign up here!

May 24th Field Day

Field day is just around the corner! The 5th graders always do such an amazing job helping run the event for the lower grades, but we do need volunteers to help oversee activities and hand out refreshments to the kids: Please sign up here

2024-25 Room Parents

Consider being a room parent next year! This is a vital way to help your homeroom teacher and also a way to meet other parents, to plan classroom events, and to have your fingers on the pulse of the classroom. Roles include communications (monthly), party planning (about 4/year), volunteer coordination (signup genius guru). Ideally we would have at least 3 parents per classroom. If interested, please add yourself to the RP list. Chris Cho will reach out once classroom assignments are made at the beginning of the year.

May 7th Dine & Donate at Esters

Our last Dine-and-Donate event of the year will be at Esters (2201 Oneida St., Denver) Park on Tuesday, May 7th from 4 to 10 p.m. Come enjoy pizza with your friends and family, and help us celebrate Ms. Dineen's birthday! New, incoming families are welcome!

Last Chance to Get Tickets! Purchase by End of Day Today!

Join other Polaris community members on Saturday, May 11th for an evening of socializing while listening to some amazing tunes, drinking at an open bar, and being served fresh baked, hand stretched, wood fired Neapolitan pizzas!

In addition to hosting this adults-only event at their home, Polaris parent, pizza aficionado and Olive and Finch chef and owner Mary Nguyen and her husband Raphael Jouvenat will be stretching, pulling and topping pizzas in their wood fired pizza oven. Passed appetizers and non-pizza dinner options will also be available.

Tickets are $100 per person with all proceeds going to the Polaris PTO! So that we have an accurate headcount, please get your tickets by the end of TODAY at https://polaris.cbo.io!

We also have a few remaining share parties taking place TOMORROW. Consider buying a ticket to these events to help raise money for Polaris!
