Talent Night: It's your time to shine! Jan 30th, 2025 5pm- 7pm

4th & 5th Grade Talent Night - Dec. 20th Deadline to Submit!

Mark your calendars for Polaris Elementary’s Talent Night on January 30, 2025! This is a wonderful opportunity for 4th and 5th graders to showcase their unique skills and creativity in a celebration of our community's talent. Acts must be three minutes or less and meet all requirements.
Key dates include:

Interest Sign-Up Deadline: December 20, 2024
Final Registration Information and Act Video Submission: January 16, 2025
Mandatory Tech Rehearsal: January 28, 2025

Traffic Photo Enforcement in Polaris School Zone

While we are very grateful to Bradley, our new Crossing Guard, the intersection of Park and Tremont continues to be a dangerous zone for pedestrians and student cyclists. In order to curb the excessive speeding and red light running, the Polaris PTO has been in contact with the Denver Police Department's photo enforcement team. Timing is still TBD, but we expect there to be more regular enforcement of the School Zone in the new year. Let's keep our kids safe!

Polaris Planet Protectors

Polaris' Planet Protectors elective, led by Alison Kapsalis with the support of the Polaris PTO, has formally submitted an application for a $25,000 Climate Champions grant. If awarded, the students will work with the larger Polaris community this spring to build out learning gardens, set up an outdoor classroom on the library patio, install more secure bike racks, and host an environmental film festival for 4th and 5th graders. These sustainablity initiatives will also help augment Polaris' EcoSchool application later this year. Stay tuned for ways that you can support our students' efforts.

Lost & Found

Our Lost & Found is overflowing! The school will bag up any left items and donate them on December 20, 2024. Please be sure to take a moment to look for any missing items.

5th Grade Families: Save the Date!

The PTO is working with Principal Lopez and Ms. Dulong to organize a Middle School Panel for 5th grade students. More details about the schools that will be represented and how to RSVP will be provided as details come together.
